“As the 50th birthday for the North East Budgerigar Society approached it dawned on me that I have been a member and on its committee for more than half of those years, comprising a significant portion of my life. A quick scan of the minutes in the club’s filing cabinet revealed much that went on before. If we assume members meet ten times a year followed by ten committee meetings, then that’s a staggering 1000 sets of minutes that harbour the club’s history.”
