NEBS 50th Anniversary

Join us as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the North East Budgerigar Society (NEBS) on Thursday, April 11, 2024! This milestone event is a testament to five decades of passion, dedication, and community within the budgerigar hobby. We warmly welcome all members, past members, members of other clubs. To that end, the general public are also welcome to be part of this memorable evening.

Firstly, the celebrations begin at 6:00 PM, with delicious wood-fired pizza served fresh to start the night off right. At 7:30 PM, the official meeting will commence with Shiralee Reardon. Secondly, Kelwyn Kakoschke will speak as one of the Founding Fathers of NEBS. To that end, Kelwyn will share fascinating stories and insights from the early days of the club.

Adding to the evening’s excitement, we are honoured to host Graeme Goodings, a well-known media personality. Graeme will present a nostalgic journey through South Australia’s history from 1974 to 2024, reflecting on the 50 incredible years during which NEBS has thrived. This engaging presentation promises to captivate not just budgie enthusiasts but also their partners and anyone interested in South Australian history.

The night will conclude with a delightful supper and the opportunity to mingle, share memories, and celebrate the enduring legacy of NEBS.
