39 Budgerigars from Quality Vendors

The September auction brings together birds from:

  • Malcolm Loveridge
  • Schutz & Tonkin
  • Geoff Edwards
  • Doug & Ruth Lange
  • Longbottom Family

With 39 birds in total, bidders will find a broad selection of varieties and breeding opportunities throughout the catalogue.

Club stalwart, NEBS Life Member and BCSA Judges Coordinator John Mulley, has also cast his experienced eye over the birds prior to the auction.

A Wide Range of Budgerigar Varieties

Among the varieties represented in the NEBS September 2026 Mega Auction are Tufted, Spangles, Spangle Double Factors, Recessive Pieds, Opaline Cinnamonwings, Yellow Faced Blue, Normal Grey Green, LutinosSplit Lacewings, Split Clearwings, Cinnamonwings, Inos, Full Circle Crested and more.

The diversity of birds on offer makes this auction worth a look for exhibitors interested in both mainstream and specialist varieties.

Convenient Adelaide Location for Most Birds

One of the major advantages of this auction is the location of the birds. With the exception of the Schutz & Tonkin birds, all birds are located together at Glynde in Adelaide’s inner eastern suburbs. This should make collection and transport arrangements considerably simpler, particularly for buyers purchasing birds from multiple vendors. The location of every bird is clearly stated within its individual auction listing.

  • All bidding is anonymous. Only your bidder number will be visible to other bidders.
  • The location of each bird is stated within the individual listing.
  • Freight costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.
  • Please register your phone number when bidding. This assists with communication following the auction if you are successful.

Bird Descriptions and Buyer Responsibility

Each auction listing includes a description of the bird supplied in good faith by the seller.

While the North East Budgerigar Society (NEBS) takes care in presenting the information provided, NEBS cannot accept responsibility for inaccuracies in individual listings.

If you require clarification regarding a bird, its breeding, variety, condition, pedigree or any other information contained within a listing, please contact the seller directly before bidding.

Any dispute concerning a bird or auction lot is a matter between the buyer and seller, rather than the North East Budgerigar Society.

NEBS Acts as the Auction Facilitator

Bidders should also remember that NEBS is facilitating the transaction between buyers and sellers. The club provides the auction platform and assists in connecting members of the budgerigar community. NEBS receives and holds purchaser funds before passing payment, less the applicable commission, to the seller. The underlying sale of each bird remains a transaction between the buyer and the individual seller.

Supporting the North East Budgerigar Society

The North East Budgerigar Society is a not-for-profit organisation, and proceeds generated through the auction directly assist the club in continuing its activities and promoting the budgerigar hobby. By participating in the NEBS Mega Auction September 2026, bidders are not only gaining access to birds from some highly regarded breeders and exhibitors, but are also supporting one of South Australia’s active budgerigar clubs. With 39 birds from Malcolm Loveridge, Schutz & Tonkin, Geoff Edwards, the Longbottom Family, and Doug & Ruth Lange, there is plenty to inspect before bidding closes.
