NEBS All-SA Mega Event 2026

This year, our July meeting will be a Christmas in July get-together, and everyone is very welcome to join us. The only catch is that we’ll be celebrating at the pub, which is great news for dinner and a drink, but not quite as practical for handing over budgerigars. Because of that, there won’t be a July Mega Auction hand-off point at the meeting.

So, rather than trying to make birds, cages and pub meals all work in the same room, we’ve decided to do something a little different, again. For July, we’ll be holding an All-SA Auction, featuring birds from NEBS and Port Pirie members who had birds selected in the team for Southport. It’s a great chance to showcase some South Australian quality and offer members the opportunity to purchase birds connected to successful National team studs.

Some exhibitors had a couple of birds available, while others are already well and truly empty after the North East Tender Sale and with entries going into the Council Auction. So this will be a more variety focused auction, but one with plenty of interest and quality behind it.

And since we have all the birds already, we thought why not start it now? So, July’s event becomes June’s All SA Mega Event, starting now.
