June Mega Auction 2026
NEBS June Mega Auction 2026
The North East Budgerigar Society is excited to launch the NEBS June Mega Auction 2026, featuring an outstanding line-up of 42 budgerigar lots from NEBS members and invited guest breeders. With the Nationals now behind us, many breeders are already looking ahead. They are assessing their studs and identifying the birds that can help take them to the next level. This auction offers a fantastic opportunity to secure quality budgies from respected breeders. As a result, you can add valuable variety, strength and potential to your breeding program.
The June Mega Auction features birds from Geoff Edwards, Bob Simpson, Malcolm Loveridge, Dave Miller, the Longbottom Family, Stephen Thompson and John Smith. All birds are currently located with John Mulley in Glynde, South Australia. This makes freight and transport arrangements simple and efficient, including for the Victorian birds.
Varieties on Offer
A wide range of varieties will be available, including Visual Violets, Spangles, Recessive Pieds, Opalines, Lutinos, Normal Blues, Greens and Grey Greens, Lacewings, Dominant Pieds, Cinnamonwings and more. The auction also includes three wild domestic-bred budgie pairs. Therefore, it offers something a little different for fanciers and enthusiasts.
The NEBS Mega Auction has been designed to align with the club’s monthly meeting schedule. Each auction will conclude on the Sunday before the NEBS meeting. The meeting is held on the second Wednesday of the month. This allows successful bidders to finalise payment promptly. As a result, meeting night serves as a convenient hub for bird transfers between vendors and purchasers.
To keep the process simple and focused, NEBS will run just one auction each month. And with only one auction on the calendar, we thought it only fitting to make it a mega one.
Each listing includes a bird description supplied in good faith by the seller. While NEBS takes care in presenting auction information clearly and accurately, the club is not responsible for any inaccuracies in individual listings. Bidders are encouraged to contact the seller directly if they require clarification before placing a bid.
Important Notes for Bidders
- All bidding is anonymous, with only your bidder number visible.
- The location of each bird will be stated in the listing.
- Freight costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.
- Please register your phone number when bidding, as this assists with communication if you are a successful bidder.
- Most vendors are happy to deliver birds to the nearest airport free of charge and are willing to combine freight with other vendors where possible to help reduce shipping costs.
The NEBS June Mega Auction 2026 ends Sunday, 7 June at 8:00 pm, with extended bidding if required.
NEBS is a not-for-profit organisation, and all proceeds from this auction go directly towards supporting the club and promoting the budgerigar hobby.
Thank you for supporting NEBS, and happy bidding.
