March 2025 Meeting

The March 2025 Meeting will feature an exciting and interactive presentation titled “5 Best Tricks for Preparing Birds for the Show Bench.” This special session will be led by Doug Lange and John Mulley, both highly experienced in preparing birds for competition.

Doug and John have been dedicated members of the South Australian bird carer team for the ANBC show for many years. Their extensive experience ensures that this workshop will be valuable for breeders at all levels. They will share practical tips and techniques to help exhibitors improve their bird preparation skills.

To make this session as hands-on and engaging as possible, members are encouraged to bring along a couple of birds in a show cage. Participants should also bring the preparation equipment they typically use at home. This will allow everyone to apply the tricks they learn in real time.

John and Doug will run this session as a masterclass in show preparation. They will demonstrate effective grooming techniques, discuss how to present birds at their best, and provide individual feedback to attendees. The session will be an interactive workshop, where members can experiment with different methods and refine their techniques.
